Hackzor
Hackzor is an Online Programming Contest Judge. The working is simple; A set of programming questions are posted on the internet. Users can submit programs to solve the problems. This judge will accept these submits, compile them (optionally) and execute them against predefined input. If the corresponding output is valid and the execution parameters are within the constraints presented, then the user is awarded the points. It uses a distributed architecture. There is one central Web Server and multiple remote Clients connect to the server, accept attempts and evaluates them.
Hackzor is completely written in Python. It uses the Django Web Programming framework. It is scheduled to be used in the upcoming Kurukshetra '07 and aBaCUS '07 (both events of the College of Engineering, Guindy in Chennai).

Dataone Usage Finder Script -- doufs
doufs is a simple python script that measures the usage patterns of Dataone Subscribers (a popular ISP in India). This project is retired and no longer maintained. Please visit http://dobs.sourceforge.net/ for a similar project.
SemFS
SemFS was my Final Year Project for undergrad. It attempted to look at ways to improve the user experience at the file system level. One of the interesting features of this was incorporating "Virtual Directories". Virtual Directories are analogous to Search Folders in email clients. It shows search results as new directories. The project also implemented tagging of files, and allowed the ability to insert new plugins to the file system which could enable retrieval of meta data from additional file formats. The project was presented as a paper titled Semantic File Retrieval in File Systems using Virtual Directories at HiPC '06 and and as SemFS: A Semantic approach to File Systems at SSN college of engineering. If you are looking to cite the project, please use the former link.
RepoFS
Another file system hack that I worked on is to be able to mount centralised versioning systems like CVS, SVN, etc as a file system. This was also presented at the poster session of HiPC '06 as Mounting of Version Control Repositories: RepoFS.
